• Clinton Christian Artist Talk at VIC Rd Wine Bar 2nd of October 

 

Join us for First Thursday this 2nd of October as we celebrate bold, playful art with a great evening of wine, conversation, and creativity.

Welcome Clint Christian (aka ClintC), an award-winning New Zealand artist known for his bright, modernist style. Enjoy a drink and some bites at VIC RD WINE BAR as Clint shares his story, creative spark, and what drives his evolving art practice.

Clint’s work reflects his fun-loving personality, blending bold colour, pop culture references, and a dash of nostalgia. Often working at a large scale, he creates on both canvas and wood, and also explores resin and sculpture. His latest series, Retrovision, draws on memories of 1970s–80s music, games, and tech—bringing the past to life through a modern lens.

Now working as a full-time artist, Clint says the shift came after waking up one morning in 2018 with a clear call to create. Since then, he’s been making up for lost time, diving deep into each new idea with energy and curiosity.

After the talk, head across the road to Flagstaff Gallery to explore the full exhibition and meet Clint in person. The Gallery will be open until 8pm, and the show runs through to Sunday, 12th October.
