Roberta Queiroga

Roberta Queiroga is a contemporary visual artist from Brazil who prior to moving to New Zealand, has also lived in Portugal and Japan. Influences of those places and cultures are highly noticeable in her identity and ultimately informs her work.

Throughout her practice she incorporates and mixes elements of various techniques, working in a symbiosis with the canvas in a way that allows for her emotion to spontaneously flow with minimum interference when creating. Her background is in Architecture and she is interested in the relationship between the artwork, the viewer and the space.
