Susan Skelton

My artworks on paper are achieved by using the texture of the paper to push the boundaries of fluid paint tolerance creating the explosion of colour, pattern, and shapes.

My approach to art making is a vibrant one, where colour and texture are key elements in the energy expressed in my artworks.

In 2006 I began to teach myself to paint and am still learning every day. My work has evolved over the years to include several mediums and genre. I draw inspiration from a stormy sky, fashion and through to an autumn landscape.

The Wellington region is my home. I am represented in a number of galleries and events in New Zealand and Australia.
