About the Artist
Janine Burton
Having worked in mental health, Janine is aware of the power of mindfulness in our lives - she herself utilizes what she calls active mindfulness to make her artwork.
"Energy is all around us. Some call it science, saying that everything is vibrating at different levels, which in turn creates the physical world we live in. I call it source, yes everything is vibration and yes we can feel it if we open up to it. We are not stagnant beings and the vibrational aspects of who we are changes on any given day and over our lifetime. We also have the inner power to affect it directly. We can actively choose our vibration in life. My Animetric work is a physical representation of that energetic source space. Each one is different, they are organically hand drawn and capture energy in the form of geometric shapes."
