Natural Warm Shell Bloom is the largest shell bloom of its kind. Made from forgotten treasures gathered along New Zealand coast lines, these shells are cleaned, filtered and arranged into large abstract figures. In a quiet form of reincarnation, these shells, known as “Battle Axe” shells, carry a sense of the eternal, a cycle of beauty held within the natural world. Simple and geometric, this series reimagines what would otherwise return to sand. The preservation of found natural objects sits at the heart of this work, and now these shells continue in a new life that invites contemplation and opens a space for creative expression to grow
